get known in ur city within 3 months even if ur a nobody producer

this year, i realized something that could be a cheat code for your growth as a producer.

firstly, i made a lot more money. secondly, i've had a crazy amount of new & real opportunities. thirdly, i've been recognized in my own city — in public — after going back for my first time since the content i released.

i actually wrote an email about this already, but i've had some pretty significant events happen since that last email.

(this exact strategy im bout to tell u is what has been working for me time over time to get thousands of views on short-form content on tiktok and keep hundreds of new customers constantly in my inbox.)

if you've tried to make content, you definitely understand the struggle of putting effort into video ideas, shooting, and editing them — just to get stuck in the 200–300 view pit of hell.

the key to seeing results as large as someone instantly recognizing you while walking into a random coffee shop (even knowing your name) doesn't have to do with what your content is about, or how you're making it. it has to do with who you're speaking to.

nobody will remember the random producer that jus popped up on their for you page flexing stats & trying to get you to put money in their wallet... but when they're from the same city with credentials, a recommendation, or just really high quality beats — people are all ears.

the principle goes a little deeper than just being from the same city. that does add an emotional attachment (the strongest buying trigger), but it's truly about setting yourself apart. associating with a niche. being different than the rest in a way that makes people need to remember you. otherwise ur just adding to the noise.

being able to speak directly to people that can connect or relate to you is something that can exponentially explode your career and benefit you in more ways than you can think.

not everybody wants to be recognized in public, but if everyone knows your name, imagine the doors that could open when traveling managers, agents, a&r's, and artists come to your city.

this can be the thing that turns your income from minimal to stable. nobody got your back like your own city (except for the envy, but for the most part).

okay ima stop teasing & get to what actually moves the needle.

if you didn't catch it before, the way to get your name spreading like wildfire is content.

but... everything you say can be true, genuine, and honest — if you can't properly communicate or engage the viewer, your videos will go to shit.

soooooooo how do you create content that makes it impossible for people to ignore you?

i found the easiest way to get in the head of your viewers is to follow this simple checklist:

  1. what is their dream outcome? think deep (ex: you may say "getting major placements" for producers. but think bigger than that — "making music you love, from anywhere, with financial freedom and no pressure of who you have to make packs for". this dream outcome will vary tho depending on what ur goal is to sell them on/who your audience is)

  2. what are the 3 biggest things getting in their way of taking them from their current state to end goal?

  3. why should they, with their specific needs, listen to you? how will you help get them to their goal faster, better than competitors? (never set being cheaper as your goal. it devalues your worth (and every producers worth) and just tells that your offer or your service isn't convincing enough. to be more competitive, focus on strengthening what you offer instead of dropping your price.)

correctly addressing these 3 things is basically a roadmap to content success. using all 3 in every video isn't necessary, but the more you can incorporate smoothly, the more likely your video will be to succeed.

combine this with something that makes you unique (where you're from, what capabilities you have, etc.) and you're golden.

and that's exactly how i've gotten my name familiar with tens of thousands of new people in washington dc/surrounding dmv area.

but here’s the thing... that’s only half of the formula. because knowing what to say is one thing... knowing how to say it so people actually stay, listen, and remember you is a whole different skill.

in the next blog, i’m thinking about breaking down the exact structure i use to make content that speaks directly to people — the pacing, phrasing, and little storytelling techniques that keep viewers hooked from the first second.

but i only wanna drop that if people actually want it. so if this hit for you & you want me to break down how to create content that makes people feel like you’re speaking right to them, let me know! shoot me a quick dm or email.

if enough people ask for it, i’ll drop it next.

thank you for reading like always!
