From Mount Rainier, Maryland to Billboard #1 and Platinum Records

Cameron “Camm” Holmes, professionally known as ProdByCamm, was born in Mount Rainier, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. His career has been shaped by early musical exposure, disciplined development, and a steady commitment to building a sound with real identity.

Coming from a family with a strong connection to live music, Camm was surrounded by musicianship from an early age. His father, uncle, and grandfather all played in bands, and that foundation helped shape his ear for melody, arrangement, and emotional depth long before his professional career began.

His introduction to production started in third grade, when a friend first showed him FL Studio. Years later, around age 13, watching producer Sharpe create music on YouTube with an Akai MPK Mini gave that interest even more direction and pushed him to start creating music for his own YouTube channel.

At just 14 years old, he sold his first beat for $400 — an early moment that made it clear music could become something bigger than a hobby.

From there, he kept refining his craft with consistency and intent. Over time, that work led to a Billboard #1, Platinum recognition, and appearances on multiple Billboard producer and songwriter charts.

Today, ProdByCamm is known for a sound grounded in musicality, emotion, and strong creative direction. His work reflects both where he comes from and the level of experience he has built through years of commitment to the craft.
